The Beginnings

That Gypsy House started as a modest little retail outlet in the small rural town of Ingham, Far North Queensland. Bringing vibrancy and uniqueness to the town, it was the only spiritual supplies shop in the area and stocked an eclectic array of goodies. That Gypsy House or TGH Ingham, as the locals knew it, grew and grew. My commitment to quality and love for all things hand crafted and Fair Trade ensured That Gypsy House was blindingly different. I fully support the amazing artisans that create our beautiful goodies, including the gorgeous boho homewares and handcrafted gypsy jewellery. I searched high and low for products that ticked all the boxes for me - environmentally friendly, vegan, organic, fair trade, sustainable, hand made, Aussie made and more.....

Who am I?

My name is Tanya and I come from a farming background. I grew up on a farm with my siblings where our hard-working dad produced amazing vegetables and more. Dad was Sicilian and therefor we were in the paddock helping him at a pretty early age! My love for plants has continued throughout my life and I live on a farm today with a big veggie patch, fresh herbs, tropical fruits and a flock of curious and cheeky chooks. I am qualified in Lomi Lomi massage, Reiki and Clinical Aromatherapy. I am currently in the process of completing my Australian Bush Flower Essence practitioner certificate also. Many of the aromatherapy products on my spiritual supplies shop are lovingly hand blended by me. I have great respect and appreciation for the abundance of plant medicines Mother Earth provides and believe natural healing will be the future health care for the generations to come.

I am a busy Mum with three incredible sons, two of which are home-schooled here on the farm. Life is a blessing, family is the most important thing and living life to its fullest everyday is something we should all practice.
